The Movers have a personal connection with both charities, knowing their respective founders, and have always aspired to assist. Those aspirations were put into action and we couldnt be prouder.
From our very first days as a group, altruism has always been a part of our Mover DNA. Fifteen years later, and that tradition continues. Big announcement - Imagination Movers are returning to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, performing on Sunday,April 29, 2018.
For those who dont know, Disney scouted the Movers during one of their early Jazz Fest performances and the rest is history. The Boys in Blue always pull out some stops when playing the Fest. Previous showcases have included appearances by DJ Beverly Skillz, the Bucktown All-Star Horns, and Galactics Jeff Raines alongside Rich, Scott, Dave, Smitty and our tour drummer Kyle Melancon.
Presented by the Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Family Gras 2018 features your Boys in Blue as they kickoff the Saturday festivities in Metairie, LA on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Family Gras is aevent. Family Gras traditionally takes place on the neutral ground (median) of Veterans Memorial Boulevard across from Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, Louisiana. An ideal location to see the pageantry of Mardi Gras and enjoy the outdoor concerts by national & local artists on the Mardi Gras Plaza stage.

The Movers are going to be busy the next couple of months. Were adding shows in Maryland and Kentucky, and soon after - New Jersey, and New York shows.
Were mixing the album (tentatively10-4) right now, and are picking the perfect date for its release. For all those who supported the making of the album on Indiegogo, were rewarding you with a limited edition comic book based on one of the songs from the album. Itll come when we begin shipping out the album later this spring/early summer.

The Movers then are heading to Richmond, Virginia on 11/11 at 3 pm to play the Modlin Center for the Arts.As many of you are aware, Mover Scott recently suffered aspontaneous nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (NASAH), spending five days at East Jefferson General Hospital, four of which were in ICU.
He has been discharged and is resting and recuperating. There are two medical follow-ups, but hisprognosis is excellent. The Docs said this should be a momentary blip on his timeline, thankfully. Regardless, the whole experience has been ripe with reflection. If you are interested in his time in ICU, Scott composed a poignant Facebook post.
